From Concrete Jungle to Happy Homestead

We’ve become strangers to nature. And the best way to live longer, healthier lives is to re-wild ourselves by returning to nature whenever we can

Daniel Vitalis

Hi there!

My name is Jordan. I’m a 24 yr old mama to an amazing one year old little boy, and I stay at home with him in Small Town, Texas. If you had asked me two years ago if I would ever aspire to be a farmer, I would have laughed at you. I’ve lived in the concrete jungle my whole life, content to eat foods that have probably traveled to more countries than me. I never once questioned where my food was coming from, or what was going into it, until my little boy Henry was born. Now I have a fire in my belly to make sure that he is getting the food he deserves. My husband and I want to own a homestead and grow all of our own food, sustainably and organically. We want to do what is healthiest for us and healthiest for this beautiful planet that we live on. We are very far from that goal, and this blog will focus on documenting our journey to a happy homestead. Regenerative farming is the future.
